  • Try not to be obvious. Introduce and evidence key themes selectively and creatively. Use finesse, style, and clever phrasing and framing to position and present your skills, capabilities and achievements.
  • Avoid clichés and overuse of objectives. If you have a particular strength, back it up and evidence it. Avoid using a long list of adjectives to describe yourself with nothing to substantiate them.
  • One-sided applications that are ‘all about me’ fail to connect for obvious reasons.
