  1. Permanent fee introduction: The consulting fee is calculated as a percentage of the gross annual remuneration. Annual remuneration comprises base salary, superannuation, company car (valued at $15,000) or car allowance plus the value of any other packaged benefits. In cases where a significant proportion of the annual remuneration is by way of incentive payment, the consulting fee will include an amount agreed with the client as an assessment of such regular commission, bonus or similar incentive payment received in the first year of appointment.
  2. Fixed Term Contractors: The consulting fee is calculated as a percentage of the gross annual remuneration. The consulting fee will be applied to fixed periods of employment and invoiced pro rata. Once a full 12 months service has been completed no further fees apply.
  3. Temp to perm: When a candidate previously employed on a fixed term contract or temporary basis, is subsequently employed on a permanent basis, a consulting fee will be negotiated. The guarantee period for such appointments will be deemed to take effect from day one of employment.
  4. Media advertising expenses and production costs are not included as part of the consulting fees. These expenses are invoiced to the client immediately after the placement of the advertisement. Expenses such as travel, accommodation, STD or ISD calls and postage are charged at cost. Such expenses are not incurred without the client’s prior agreement. Executive psychometric testing is also available at an additional cost.
  5. A client’s commitment for fees and expenses applies once the assignment has been authorised by the client.
  6. The fee structure is based on prompt payment and hence terms of engagement call for payment to be made 7 days from the date of invoice.
  7. Invoices that are outstanding after 30 days may be referred to a debt collection agency at the discretion of Blue Sky Careers. Any costs incurred will be payable by the client in addition to the invoiced amount and any interest accrued.
  8. If more than one candidate is appointed from a shortlist an additional fee, based on the specific total annual remuneration for each additional appointment, will be negotiated.
  9. Employment of a candidate, who has been introduced by Blue Sky Careers, either on a permanent or temporary basis within a 12 month period of receipt of the candidate’s details, will incur the appropriate fee as outlined above.
  10. Should a candidate be re-employed in any capacity within 12 months of the date of termination, or expiry of a fixed term contract, a fee will be negotiated according to the circumstances.
  11. A replacement guarantee of six months is provided for all permanent placements in the event a candidate is asked to leave due to lack of performance or the appointee leaves of his/her own accord. The guarantee does not cover vacancies arising from organisational restructures or major changes to the requirements of the job. If the appointee leaves during the probationary period, then a replacement assignment will be conducted without fee to replace the original candidate in the same position. The cost of any advertising or other out-of-pocket expenses in connection with the replacement assignment will be charged as per Clause 4.
  12. All pricing quoted is exclusive of GST.
  13. All information provided is to be treated as strictly private and confidential. It should not be disclosed to any other party directly or indirectly without the prior consent of Blue Sky Careers.
  14. The objective of Blue Sky Careers is to provide accurate details about candidates based on the information they provide to us. No responsibility can be accepted for errors or omissions. It is you, our client that will make the final recruitment decision.
  15. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the suitability of the candidates presented to your company, we recommend that you satisfy yourself as to the candidate’s suitability for your employment. Blue Sky Careers does not accept liability for any claim for loss, expense, delay or damage as a result of our referral, however occasioned.
  16. As a client of Blue Sky Careers, under no circumstances should companies be approached directly to seek information on candidates presented, through the referencing process or otherwise, without the express permission of Blue Sky Careers or the candidate.
